Bill began his construction career as an estimator and project manager in 1962.  Following college graduation in 1969, Bill moved to Albuquerque as project manager for a large commercial construction firm.  Moving with that firm to Denver in 1972, Bill served as construction manager until 1973, when he formed a firm to construct housing projects under HUD programs.  In 1976, Bill returned to Albuquerque and founded Bill Biffle, Inc., which constructed over 100 custom and speculative luxury homes.

Bill joined BR Gordon Construction in 1987 as director of development.  He was elected vice president in 1988 and president in 1993.  Under his leadership, the company's sales grew in three years from $376,000 in over $5,500,000 annually.  In 1994, upon the retirement of company founder, Bruce Gordon, Bill assumed the duties of chief executive officer.
